Jordan is an exciting place to visit. It has history, desert, oasis warm people and terrific food. This trail takes your from south Aqaba (whether you've made there from Israel, Egypt or other destination) to the North.
Day 1
The Trail starts at Aqaba from there you can drive to Wadi Rum.
Wadi Rum – one of the nicest spots in the south of Jordan. The scenic is not less than amazing: granite and sandstone mountains, deep canyons cut thorough the mountains. Endless sand dunes in different colors.
This place was habitat for thousands of years and wall drawing can still be seen in Khazali canyon.
Luarnce Arabia set his house here during the Arab Revolt, you can still see remains of his house and the spring he used for drinking.
Don't miss the Burrah canyon, best time of the day are late evening or early morning when the rock turns orange.
You can see much of the dramatic scenery at the Sunset sites as well as at Al Ghuroub
Luckily Wadi Rum is a reservoir as from 1998 and has it's own web site: http://www.wadirum.jo
Day 2
Petra (Wadi Musa) – This world heritage site is amazing. If you ever visit Jordan don't miss this place. A city built into the rock. Petra is known as the Rose-Red City for the color of the rocks in which Petra is carved. Petra was a trade center and the capital of the Nabataeans.
One day is more than enough but you can not make in less than a day if you really want to enjoy this splendor.

Day 3
Shobak – it turns out that there is another Montreal other than the one in Canada. Montreal was a Crusaders fortress built in the 12th century.
Dana Valley - 320 square kilometers of spectacular mountains and Canyons. This is one of the biggest reservoir in Jordan
Day 4
Kerak Castle (El-Kerak) – A crusader fortress. The remains for the fortress are still very impressive and worth the extra millage. Earlier historical evidences trail El Karak as early as the iron age. The local claims that Kerak is the origin of Mansaf the traditional Jordanian Dish made of lamb dried yogurt and rice.
Madaba – the “City of Mosaics “. Many mosaics were found in Madaba, the famous the map of Madaba, which is actually a map of Jerusalem in the 6th century. If you have time and need some rest, you should try the hot springs at Hammamat Ma’in, not far from the city.
Mount Nebo – a high mountain with excellent scenery of the dead sea and the Araba (Jordan Valley). According to the bible Moses was buried on this mountain. There is a small museum and remains of earlier chapel. Two popes visited this place so maybe it is not such a bad place after all.
You can cross to Israel in El Hussain Bridge.
